What is the artist trying to convey? I think the artist is trying to convey a female dominate home that is simple, loving, warm, and welcoming with children that are full of curiosity and wonder. What makes you say that? I say that because of the way the artist uses flowers repeatedly, pastel colors inside the home, and warm/neutral colors outside the home. The style of the home seems older, like something you would see out in the Midwest. The characters being depicted all seem to be female and you can see the children pointing something out in the night sky, possibly discussing what they see. What is the story being told? I think the story being told is one of a small, but loving family. The sisters like to sneak out onto the roof top to gaze at the night sky and wonder what lies beyond. Based on your observations what would you title the painting? I would title this painting, “The Night Sky”.
